Guantanamo - Are We Doing Enough?

Assalamu Alaikum.

The injustices of Guantanamo have gone on for far too long. It is time we woke up and started taking actions against such injustices, even if it is just to write a letter to your local MP or Tony Blair himself or go to a demonstration. Allah(swt) tells us we must have sabr and yes it will take time and things will not happen over night but we have to take every step, no matter how large or small to individually make a difference to the fitnah which is taking place in the ummah.

Families have lost their nearest and dearest, the breadwinners, the English speakers and just think of the trials they are facing now and they are not giving up and we can not either. The brothers at the base have managed to stay steadfast in the deen and we have to do the same and remeber our duties as individuals, these brothers have rights over us... are we truly fulfilling our duties to them as their brothers and sisters in Islam?
